Company
Make agents trustworthy enough for production work.
Every company will run agents. Very few will trust them. We build the execution and governance layer that closes that gap — so autonomy and accountability stop being a trade-off.
Principles
What we believe.
Reliability is a product decision
Checkpoints, retries, and timeouts are not enterprise add-ons to sell later. They are the reason the product exists. Every feature ships with its failure mode designed first.
Governance enables autonomy
Teams do not fear autonomous agents — they fear unaccountable ones. An immutable audit trail and human gates are what let an organization say yes to automation.
Outcomes over tokens
Token counts are an implementation detail. Cost per resolved ticket, per routed lead, per processed document — those are the numbers a business runs on, so those are the numbers we report.
Milestones
Where we are.
2025 Q4
Research
Studied why agent pilots die: state loss, no audit trail, no cost attribution. The orchestration gap was consistent across 40+ team interviews.
2026 Q1
Company founded
Ballast, Inc. incorporated. First engine prototype: graph compilation with a checkpoint after every node.
2026 Q2
Public beta
Visual builder, human gates, live traces, and the template gallery open to everyone.
2026 Q3
SOC 2 Type II planned
SOC 2 Type II is on the roadmap — not yet started. Trust center and DPA available for enterprise evaluation.
Careers
Build the layer everything else runs on.
Small team, a production-grade platform, hard distributed-systems problems with a visual surface. We hire people who sweat both.
